The master’s degree curriculum is designed to provide students with comprehensive and specialized training in nursing care for individuals undergoing surgical procedures. The program consists of six courses that combine theoretical foundations, practical applications, and professional development. The main contents of the master’s program are detailed below:

Fundamentals of Care for Individuals Undergoing Surgical Procedures:
This course introduces the basic concepts and fundamental theories related to nursing care in the surgical context. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the physiological, psychological, and emotional processes experienced by patients during the perioperative period.


Nursing Care for Individuals Undergoing Surgical Procedures I:
A course focused on basic techniques and specific nursing interventions for patients in the preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases.


Nursing Care for Individuals Undergoing Surgical Procedures II:
A continuation of the previous course.


Practicum I – Basic Clinical Practice:
A practical placement in clinical settings where students can begin applying the theoretical knowledge acquired, carrying out basic interventions under the supervision of healthcare professionals.


Practicum II – Advanced Clinical Practice:
Advanced clinical training in which students take on a more autonomous role in patient care, dealing with more complex situations and developing advanced management and surgical intervention skills.


Master’s Final Project:
Development of an original research project or an innovative practical intervention, supervised by an academic tutor. This project allows students to demonstrate their ability to integrate and apply the knowledge acquired throughout the program.
