Documents for admission

Applications must be submitted online. Along with your application, you will need to upload the following documents in PDF format:

1. Official transcripts from all the attended universities (bachelor and master level). Transcripts must be in English, Spanish or Catalan. If your institution cannot issue certificates in any of those languages, you will need to also submit an official translation. Exceptionally, we can accept applications with transcripts in French or Italian: keep in mind that, in case of acceptance, you will still need to provide the certified (official) translation into English, Spanish or Catalan.

2. A statement of purpose describing your motivation to pursue a graduate degree in Economics. If you have a specific interest in a particular field of Economics, please describe it in your statement of purpose.

3. GRE and English proficiency test scores. Although these documents are not compulsory, we encourage you to include them with your application.

4. Once you have uploaded all the necessary documentation, two letters of recommendation will be automatically requested to your letter writers. Your letter writers will receive email instructions on how to upload the reference letter.

If you have not yet obtained your degree because you are still completing your studies, please attach a document stating this and indicating the expected completion date.

IMPORTANT: Upon your arrival at the UAB in September, you must complete the official enrolment for the Master’s programme. You will be required to submit all the original academic documents from your undergraduate studies (degree/diploma), including the degree certificate and academic transcript (courses taken and obtained grades). This documentation must be properly legalised if it does not originate from an EU country, and accompanied by the corresponding certified (sworn) translation, except for documents issued in Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, or English.
